Do you have or wish to purchase a fancy fiberglass camper shell that wraps around the bed rails of your truck? Need a ladder rack to go with it? This was a problem because conventional ladder rack foot plates interfere with the wrap around skirt on the shell, so cutting notches in the shell was required to provide clearance for the rack feet. This was expensive, imprecise, and voided the shell warranty. The new Pro III Top Mount ladder rack attaches to the roof of your shell… problem solved.
